For anyone in the YHM, YYZ, YXU area who are interested. N707JT which is John Travolta's 1960's Qantas 707, is parked at YHM. It arrived EARLY yesterday (08/07) morning.

Can't wait to see the pics Jason.
Quoting Cedarjet (Reply 3): Is there a film festival in Tee Town or something?
The Film Festival doesn't start until Sept. 7th.
But the Greek Fest "Taste of the Danforth" is this weekend, maybe he's here for that?
Anytime is a good time to visit T-dot.

Quoting Swissy (Reply 8): So I guess he is parked down by Jet Port Jason......
Yeah, right next to it. If you actually go into the front jetport parking lot, the plane is RIGHT next to the fence, and easily visible. But too close for photos.

Quoting WhyWhyZed (Reply 7): Not A.net quality because of the heat haze. Hopefully it stays around alittle bit longer so I can go back and get a decent shot.
Actually, I rather think the opposite Jay!!!! That's a very beautiful shot..
The heat haze is minimal --> Unless you can see something I can't, which is a good probability

Quoting Swissy (Reply 11): My home in Canada is about 10min. away from YHM, same at ZRH 10 min......
Cool, i'm not too far from YHM either. About a 20 minute drive to get there. I'm in Stoney Creek.

Great shot!
Thanks, maybe i'll give the editing more effort (instead of the 30 second sharpening job), and then try uploading it.
Quoting Steelhead (Reply 13): The 707 has been moved to another position - still at the JETPORT site.
Now a perfect morning shot - 40 mm lens required from the parking lot !
Yup, that is where it was postitioned when I took my photo. The only problem was that the fence holes are way too small for my 17-40mm lens, which has a diameter of 77mm.
Quoting LPLAspotter (Reply 14): I agree - I think it's the best shot of the bird I've ever seen.
Quoting AirbusfanYYZ (Reply 15): WOW! Great snap Jason. I would upload it for sure.
Quoting YOW (Reply 16): Jason that's a great photo. I would hope a.net accepts it. Cool to see an old 727 taking off in the background.
Thanks guys!!
Quoting YOW (Reply 16): PS: Were you these Jason I was spotting with at YYZ on the rooftop of T1-Old the day-before it was closed?
To be honest, I have absolutely no clue. I believe I was up there that day, but I don't remember who I talked to. Was it a younger (I would've been about 15 or 16 then) and fairly chubby? If so... than it could've been me! hehehe.

I guess not. The guy I was talking to was probably more like 22 and his mom was an AC employee.
I fixed up the previous shot, and uploaded it, however I know that despite this one being nice, it'd get rejected for baddark or something along those lines.

For those photographers still wanting a shot of the 707, it will probably still be at YHM tomorrow (Sunday). You need to get there before noon for the sun, and because of its closeness to the fence you need a moderately wide angle lens. About a 35mm focal length for a 35mm camera.
28 Duke: Hey, I should be back in Toronto from 7/9 to 17/9. Any chance it would be in the area? I would so like to see this one!

30 Olympus69: Great shot Jason! I always thought he had more hair than that. Did you get his autograph?
