There is a lot of construction going on at the east and west ends of the runways in Atlanta. I'm not talking about construction for the new Eastside Terminal or the 5th runway. It appears that the runways are being lengthened or possibly getting extended overruns. Does anyone know what is going on?

I work for Southwest, but the views expressed are my own and do not necessarily represent those of Southwest.

they're creating taxiways on either end so inbound a/c don't have to cross the actives

Some see lines, others see between the lines.
