This from Renato Salzinger:
Just got information that Swissair will revise its livery in very short
According to my source, the change will be on the belly, which will no
longer be grey but dark blue (much like Balair B757s) and with big
Qualiflyer Group titles, on white letters on the front side of the plane.
The Swiss Cross will be painted on all the MD11 and A330 winglets but not
on the A319/20/21 wingtip fences.
On a second step, ALL airlines on the Qualiflyer Group will adopt this
scheme, although details and how this will affect the current schemes is
not yet available.
Possibly a Swissair MD11 is already on the paint shop at ZRH airport and a
MD80 of the French Qualiflyer member (result of the merge of AOM, Air
Littoral and Air Liberte, I guess) was already painted on this basic
scheme, (blue belly, QF titles) but no airline name nor logo on it, as this
has still to be defined. This plane was seen recently at JNB Intl.
Lets wait and see...

The new paint scheme doesn't sound good but I'll wait and see. The current Swissair scheme is a close second to Japan Air Lines for most boring major-carrier paint scheme, so they're right to want to change it.
Need a new airline paint scheme? Better call Saul! (Bass that is)

Why not? Perhaps it looks good. In general I like dark blue and a Qualiflyer corporate identity is not a bad idea. I am very curious to see it. By the way there are already the first 330 with painted winglets. I have seen one in ZRH.
