Too bad that AR is slowly abandoning the lucrative North American market. AR once offered daily flights to JFK and LAX, and one or two weekly flights to YMX. AR will only remain in MIA, where its market share is relatively weak. AA, AC, CO, DL, and UA will dominate all the routes between Canada, the USA, and EZE. AR may find it difficult to reenter these markets after these other airlines consolidate their fortress hubs at various North American gateways.

Bienvenido abordo! JFK will be axed on 09/09/2006. To think, that same airport saw AR's first jet service back in April 1959. I believe JFK is being axed because it is neither competitive nor profitable with the stop in MIA, but there are many who believe that said stop was added just to make a suitable excuse to drop JFK altogether, ie. it was intentional. A real shame...
