I've been keeping an eye on this, waiting for this to happen. While browsing the Aug '06 timetable, I see that the US-West flights have finally been added to the star alliance schedules.

Doing so has added a good chunk of new flights and destinations to the Star Alliance system.

Are you referring to Star Alliance codes being placed on America West operated flights? I know I have $300 to use from a trip on America West that I cancelled and am hoping to be able to earn United miles. Have the frequent flyer programs been fully merged yet?

Yes we have one plan now. The old Flightfund has been eliminated and is now Dividend Miles. You may use any Star Alliance FF program on HP operated flights now.

The first Star Alliance electronic timetable to include America West flights was the July 29, 2006 timetable.

FlightFund is gone, it has been integrated into the new Dividend Miles program. You can earn United miles for flying America West (I did so in July when I went to AI2006) but elite qualifying miles/segments and elite bonus miles are more questionable. They should be earned but may not show up. From following the discussion on FlyerTalk, it sounds like they might be properly crediting flights now, but still haven't gone back and retroactively applied credit.

Does anyone know if the America West flights count toward the Elite qualifying segments for MP?

I thought there was a form to request missing miles somewhere on the website.

Yeah, there probably is. But according to the people who have called and spoke to them and then posted on FlyerTalk, they're planning to sweep through the database and add the missing credits once they get it sorted out.
