Gander int'l airport could be closing down as soon as this winter due to financial difficulties.The airport that see's some scheduled service is most often used as a tech-stop for various buisness,private,and some large aircraft.

Sadly their bread and butter are aircraft which make unscheduled landing diversions crossing the Atlantic for mechanical/maintenance and medical emergencies.
