Thanks for the sneak peek. Interesting. I get the impression that the overall change will not be radical but, then again, let's wait for the full-body shots.

Next flights: MEX-GRU (AM 77E), GRU-GIG (JJ A320), SDU-CGH (G3 73H), GRU-MEX (JJ A332).

Thanks Logan for that spy shot, interesting. Looks like Aviacsa's original tail design, and I also like this lighter, brighter blue better, also similar to the nicer original c/s.

They should paint some lines under the windows or something but it looks like it's going to be another boring white fuselage. Hope they change their minds  Smile

It does seem that Aviacsa is going back to their old colors. Can't wait to see the airplane with the new livery.  hyper

It would look similar with some kind of line on the fuselage. The Gold head on tail was the best logo. They have the ugliest livery right now unfortunately and possibly the ugliest colors in mexico lol.

here's the best Aviacsa livery, que hermosura!:

Very weird. I thought this guy was XA-TTP which already has the new WWW logo-jet livery, perhaps it is already flying... there's one more at MEX getting the new livery and seems to me this is the 3rd one getting also the new livery!!!

6A is changing and moving fast. AFAIK, that's the new blue and tail, but new titles and white belly is on its way!!! About time, that grey belly make the planes look old, same as MX.

has 6A stopped flying to ORD? I don't see it as a destination on their website anymore.

Not much change, but definetly improvement. It was about time. Once we look at the whole airplane, we'll be able to form a better opinion.

It is, today it operated to MEX, not able to take full body picture, the fuselage is completely white, and it has AVIACSA.com titles in the entire fuselage.

Oh no, another blue tail, white plane.. with the blue engines! Geez all the latin airlines are going to for this look... Can't believe you like this Ghost lol

oh well at least it's something new to photograph for you guys.

I just love how the huge Aviacsa titles don't go with the small and awkward looking .com in another font. Who's designing these things?

Looks good, but kinda looks that everybody is running out of ideas, first was MX, almost everybody hate it, now AM with XA-GOL white fuselage, blue tail and engines, now 6A... who´s next ?

On MX XA-MXD looks great without the grey belly, hope all the fleet get´s painted like that.

Cheers

Is that a PSA style smile painted under the nose??

Edit: Also, does anyone think 6A will ever operate the MTY-SAT route?

Yep, the smile is an important part of the 6A livery. I like it (the smile, not the livery).

Yes it is. Not the greatest thing you as a passenger expect to see when "Smilie, The-joyful-Plane" arrives several minutes late though.

Quoting N200WN (Reply 16):

As far as I know the bilateral agreement between US and Mexico traffic allows another carrier on that route since AeroLitoral is the only one currently exercising the rights. It is feasible. MTY-SAT has been considered in the past but expect nothing to become real unless Aviacsa gets more metal or a more convenient aircraft (in lieu of the thirsty 737s). Perhaps the so-much-mentioned Embraers due to arrive sometime this decade could do it, but if so, I see nothing more than a bloody war both from Continental (who could easily regain the rights as a US carrier) and AeroLitoral. And the two later seem to be much stronger on this matter.

XA-GOL is nice. Perhaps not "brilliant" (literally) but it fits the need for revamping the image, save money and integrate a solution for the composite-built 787. All three benefits in three big buckets of red, blue and white paint.

Quoting American777 (Reply 12):

Just... average. Would have liked more seeing the Pakal King cropped, chopped, cut or gone though. The birds on the tails are the way to go! And the fonts... for God's sake!

A livery like this would have been ¨cool´and "new" maybe in 1990.

Is not that they´re running out of ideas, but that someone with only a business focus is deciding on paintschemes. Artists have no imputs in designing colors anymore like they used to, save on maybe special liveries.

Imagine the stunning colors schemes latin artists (mexican in this case) could come up with if given the chance. They have more than plenty of ideas  Smile

Indeed, but that´s expensive -they still should use those desings-

Remember time ago the MX colofull tails, those were great, but really expensive to use and maintain, that´s why also MX left the green tails and now uses the blue, the green tails where about $1m USD a month just for use them.
