What would the caption be? Varig Centerfolds or VG Playmates? The Ipanema girls are sure beautiful, but I see this migrating to non-av.

Some former Varig male F/A will follow suit this Playboy issue at a Brazilian gay adult magazine as well, but I haven't read anything so far in Brazilian press saying that's a protest at all.

She is a brazilian actress, not an ex-RG F/A.

Oh!  eyepopping Can we start a contest throughout each and evrey airline please? Everybody has something to protest against. Why not in this way!? BTW: At least two of the FA's names sound German to me...

Wasn't there a LH stewardess who has been fired after doing the same thing in German edition of Playboy?

Anyway: Share the pics please. Maybe they're doing the shooting at some chartered aircraft. If you can get a sneak preview through the open hangar doors, I'd appreciate that. Don't forget to mention the aircraft type and reg for the screeners  Smile

So is Playboy or any similar magazine allowed to pose these ex-RG stewardesses wearing the RG uniform? I can imagine that a lawsuit might follow if it is against the law. Even if the RG brand is not visible but the uniforms are recognisable, can RG stop these nude photos from being published?

It doesn't only sound German, the names really are German, since both are from German descent, which is very common in Southern Brazil. Varig was founded by Otto Ernst Meyer, a German immigrant, and even though the company is based in Rio nowadays, its roots lie in Brazil's southernmost state, Rio Grande do Sul.

I was going to say the same thing. In the same state there's a reasonably large city called Novo Hamburo (New Hamburg) as well as a cute little town called Gramado that was built and has been made like a little German hamlet. My ex-gf was Brazilian-German from Rio-Grande do Sul and had a German last name and didn't look "Brazilian". However, she was a pschyo... but that's another story.

I am quite sure Varig had a number of younger and attractive f/a's (especially women) who are now financially screwed so why not show some skin. They probably had much higher turnover and fewer 'senior citizens' as female f/a's.
Brazilians tend to be like most Europeans and are not ashamed of the human body, unlike the puritanical USA society (d@mm holy rollers!). Germans, Italians and Japanese along with Portuguese, Sub-Saharan Africans and pre-European people are all major ethnic groups in Brazil making for a variety of appearances.
Yes, they probably would be best to wear 'generic' looking f/a uniforms (or or only parts of them....  biggrin  , without reference to Varig on them and Playboy may well do so to prevent trademark issues.
