Hi!

I was just checking THY 707's on the A.NET engines and I found out that they operated 5 different models of 707, here they go:

707-100(B) and 707-138(B)

TWA operated B707-120, -120B, -320, -320B and -320C models. Goes up to 6 if you also count the 720-020B!

Panam operated the 707-121, 707-121B, 720B, 707-321, 707-321B and 707-321C. That's 6 variants.

I know because I flew in all six.

Cheers, Ralph

Many of THYs 707 fleet were leased from Pan Am. Even ones that were not, were cared for by Pan Am as part of its own maintenance program. PA had spares and mechanics to support the THY aircraft based in Istanbul during much of the 1970s.

THY last two B707s were used as freighters until about 1990.
