Dear frineds,

few weeks ago I was back from my regular Montenrgo (home) holidays and I was so quite surprised to see what is heppening there. After asuming control of it's airports Montenegro invested a lot in that direction and a new buildings in Tivat and Podgorica were built. A huge program of modernisation is undertaken and the results were that after 15 maybe 16 years Tivat has returned to have the traffic I was used to see when I was a kid. Basicly on saturdays some 45-47 airplanes are served and it was a close (the runway is 10m from the street) and noisy (Russian jet's) joy for me. I have taken some fotos but I'll try to list what had I seen:

Montenegro Airlines Fokker F100
JAT B733, B734, ATR72
Finnair B752
SAS B736, MD8X
Malmoe Aviation Avro RJ100
SN Bruxselles Avro RJ100
Eurofly A320
Blue Line MD8X
Avia Jet MD8X
Air Dubrovnik MD8X
LTU A320, A321
Air Berlin B738
Travel Service B738
Avialinii Ukraine B737
Kras Air IL86
Sibir IL86, TU154
Gazpromavia TU154
Pulkovo IL86, TU154
KMV TU 204
unknown TU214
Mosova TU154
Altlant Soyuz IL86
A Hungarin Company (?) EMB120
Several YAK42 I don't know the airline

and maybe something more, but can't remeber.

THanks for writeing and good luck Montenegro.

Pozdrav Savo, it's nice to see Tivat is getting back on the track, and really pleasantly suprised that Finnair is going there as well.
I'm from Bosnia originally, I remember when I was having summer vacations each year in Przno (Tivat area) as a kid, it was quite busy that time, hope it will be the same soon in the future.

Good luck to Tivat!

Cheers,
Sasha /HKG

Finnair flies holiday charters (B752) there.

Thanks for remark, Andaman. I was in Guangzhou (CAN) this morning and I saw their lovely MD11... It's nice to see Finnair increased flights to CAN, and also started direct service to HKG  Smile

Quoting Montenegro (Thread starter):

Air Dubrovnik MD8X

Back to the topic... Savo, do you know where Air Dubrovnik flies from/to Tivat? Dubrovnik city is too close, so I guess it connects Tivat with some other international destinations?

Cheers,
Sasha /HKG

If I don't get wrong the Air Dubrovnik planes are flying to Dublin and Manchester or Birmingam.

I forgot the Thomas Cook B752.

Regards.

It's good to see Tivat is getting back to good old days. I just returned from Hungary and, unfortunately, no LCCs have "discovered" Tivat yet, but Sky Europe already flies to Dubrovnik so my guess is that they will fly to Tivat next season, too.
