I've noticed in US Airways' September schedules that after September 6, the flight number breakdown is changing. It seems that all US-East flights are being renumbered to significantly higher numbers, presumably to remove any overlap there used to be of US-East flight numbers and US-West. Does anyone know details of the new flight number breakdown (including regional affiliates?)
Also, will we be seeing improvements of the website after this change, such as no need to enter originating city to find flight status and/or no need to enter record locator when checking in for a flight?

The flight numbers have already been switched around a lot. I know the West regional flying is all 2*** numbers now. I guess in September everything will be normalized to the new system.
