Quick question for any of you guys that know about Thai's operation out of London.
I'm flying with them next month to HKG via BKK and have a very short (55-minute) transfer time in Bangkok.
Does anyone know if it is the same aircraft that carries onto HKG from BKK, or am I in for a mad dash through the airport??

On Bangkok to Hong Kong sector, TG 606 normally operated by 743 but sometime they might switch to 744. There are only two 743 in TG fleet, HS-TGD and HS-TGE.

Thanks...the connection you mentioned, VSFLYER, is the one I'm getting, so it looks like it might be tight!!
One further question - how do you go about getting access to flight information like that i.e. showing the times, equipment and seat availability?
Do you have to have access to a travel agents system, or is it something on the web?

Next month? I heard that Thai will have some trial international flight from new Suvarnabhumi airport to HKG and SIN during beginning of September before the new airport officially opens on Sep 28.
50 minutes connection at old Don Meung should be fine. But check with TG and make sure you won't be flying in from LHR to Don Meung just to find out that your flight to HKG departs from Suvarnabhumi which is 2 hours away with bangkok traffic!

The trial international flight will be held on Sep 1 '06 departing Suvarnabhumi airport to HKG and SIN. This is only a '1 day' trial, I agreed with Thaiaggie, please check with TG just to make sure.
By the way driving from Don Muang to Suvarnabhumi will take around 1 hour or up 2 hours depends on traffic.

I wouldn't stress too much.
TG staff have been fantastic to me if there have been delays and tights connections.
last time made a connection to ICN with only 5 mins to spare.
was brought to door by TG cabin crew, met by ground staff, and rushed to awaiting plane for ICN. in the end, that aircraft was delayed 20 mins due to ATC.
not only did i make it, but due to the ICN delay, my bags made it as well!
