Hi All

I am collating some information on the A380 orders and engines.

Etihad 04
Federal Express 10
ILFC 10 (5 x Pax + 5 x Freighters)
Kingfisher 05
Korean Air 05
Lufthansa 15
Malaysian 06
Qantas 12(has this now changed??)
Qatar 02
Singapore 10 (Has this now changed??)
Thai Int 06
UPS 10
Virgin 06

Total orders 159

Firstly, are their any corrections to the above information. All info taken from Airbus website.

A380-841 RR Trent 970 Engine
A380-861 Engine Alliance GP7270 Engine
A380-843F RR Trent 977 Engine
A380-863F Engine Alliance GP7277 Engine

Secondly, can I confirm that these are the correct engine types for the aircraft.

Thirdly, can anybody please confirm which airlines have ordered which engine types.

Many thanks

Len

Engine choices as of today:

Quoting A340600MAN (Thread starter):
Air France 10 (GP7200)
China Southern 05 (Trent 900)
Emirates 43 (All Pax Version) (GP7200)
Etihad 04 (Trent 900)
Federal Express 10 (GP7200)
ILFC 10 (5 x Pax + 5 x Freighters) (?????)
Kingfisher 05 (Not yet decided)
Korean Air 05 (GP7200)
Lufthansa 15 (Trent 900)
Malaysian 06 (Trent 900)
Qantas 12 (Trent 900) (No, this has this not changed: still 12.)
Qatar 02 (Not yet decided)
Singapore 10 (Trent 900) + 9 new orders for which no engine announcement has been made.
Thai Int 06 (Not yet decided)
UPS 10 (GP7200)
Virgin 06 (Trent 900)

The ILFC order is unclear. I've got an idea that both RR and EA have claimed at least some of it.

Only an a.net rumor that somehow got turned into news. QF has not converted options or ordered more, but they did order more 330s, and some people got "confused".  Wink
