From their website:
http://www.wafnews.com/

"It is with the deepest regret that we must inform our customers that
publication of World Airline Fleets News has been suspended. The last
issue to be published was the June 2006 issue, number 219."

"An Insolvency Practitioner will be appointed to settle the financial
affairs of The Aviation Data Centre Ltd."

"This website will remain active to provide updated information for
subscribers."

Anybody know what happened?

Very sad news. I really enjoyed the quality of this product. I just renewed my subscription for two years only a month ago.

Not to be greedy at a time like this, but any word how to get a refund?

I didn't see anything about it on the web site. Maybe someone from England can tell us.

I had for about a year then canceled it. It was a good source for fleet updates.

The Message from the editor makes it pretty clear

http://www.wafnews.com/new_page_166.htm

One of the reasons given is

Quote:
A slow but steady decline in sales became noticeable in the years that followed, largely attributed to the growing popularity of FREE Internet websites providing news and up to the minute picture coverage.

In other words, sites like this.

Food for thought.

That's no criticism of a.net or others of its ilk, just simply that as technology changes and develops, unfortunately, even top quality businesses such as WAFN may fall by the wayside.

I have many issues of WAFN and its forerunner WAFM - I'll be sad to see it go.

I don't like signatures...

I think the statement "An Insolvency Practitioner will be appointed" is all you need to know about a refund. Get in line with all the other creditors. No no, in the back of the line.
