I see PHX, FLL, RSW and PIE are mentioned. UA will announce a third daily DEN flight next week and will fly to IAD once DEN is served 4 times a day

Its good to see the RFD airport showing some growth. I would imagine anyone living west of Hoffman Estates flying United to DEN, would prefer to use RFD over ORD as long as the fares are simmilar.

That third flight to DEN is key right now. If they can fill up 3 flights a day to DEN, then they definitely on the way up. I'm hoping they might introduce ExPlus to DEN. I'm thinking PHX, RSW, and FLL are going to be Festival and that PIE I believe is going to be Allegiant Air.

Well I flew the route once and the flights were full and would have flown it on two other occasions, but fares with over 1 months advance purchase were over $1000 roundtrip to the west coast via DEN. I also know that the company I work for sends quite a few people on that flight to DEN. There is some business traffic almost everyday between the cities. I'm hoping for more flights so that I can actually fly from RFD and not drive to ORD.

They are clearly thinking about it. Maybe not now but if traffic keeps growing on the route as it is clearly doing now, in a couple of years time it could be possible

Hopefully with the third flight to be announced next week, some of the fares will come down. Even though I found lots of good fares for the fall just to DEN. I booked three trips.
