Delta Air Lines was a co-sponsor of last night's "Project Runway" on Bravo. There's about 5 minutes of bonus footage featuring the on-board filming, including the new Business Elite and red-wrap dresses.

I totally noticed this while I watched a re-run a few hours ago. I noticed how staged it looked and how all the VERY attractive attendants were featured ALL wearing the FABULOUS red wrap dress. They all looked great! Made me a wee bit jealous!

The first thing I noticed were the flight attendants in the new red dresses. They looked amazing! The look is so professional and yet very stylish. That's one amazing uniform. Congrats to Delta for taking a bit of risk with the new style.

Yes, I agree that they looked great. The cabin looked great too!
Those were the same F/As used in some of the photo shoots for the new uniforms, because they CAn pull off the red dress. Obviously it was a 'staged promotion,' a very good one I might add, by having those F/As on that flight.

Last night's episode is about the only time my wife decided we needed to talk about airlines and seat comfort.
During check-in, one of the contestants clearly said they would be flying first class to Paris, even though the wall behind the check-in counter said Business Class. Thinking that it was indeed first class, my wife dragged me out of my paper to comment that if those seats were indeed in first, Delta must have a miserable business class and that she wouldn't fly them anytime soon (she is used to BA and LH).
I tried to correct her but she remained dubious. I think she'll stick with the devil she knows...

Well it clearly said BusinessElite in the airport, on the plane, on the seats, etc. Guess your wife must have missed that.
Says a lot tho.
That being said, I do wish it was 2-1-2, but it's not.

I bet you those FAs weren't even working that flight..they just flew them in for the shoot. As you said, those FAs are the same ones who have been modeling the new uniforms in various photo shoots and most of them are ATL-based. The flight involved was JFK-CDG which would have been with the JFK base.

I suspect they could have crewed that flight as a special duty flight of some sort for promotional purposes. I know that Aloha has certain promotional assignments that are created to be bid on by specific F/As. I am sure Delta could have worked something out like that.

That show is seen on People & Arts here in Brazil. The announcer kept calling the show, "Project Run-a-way" until recently. Never watched it but now I'll be looking for it.
My wife knows four airlines. BA and LH, the ones she flies all the time for business, CO which she flies when she tags along on my trips, and every-other-airline-except-the-three-above, which are all equally not interesting to her. That she noticed it was Delta is an accomplishment in itself. She is about as loyal a customer as it gets, and the thing is, I don't even know why.

Look for a repeat of this week's "Project Runway" episode on Bravo. It will be replayed about 200 times in the next few weeks. The "challenge" for the episode is to design an outfit for a "jet-setter" who turns out to be the designer (they design an outift for themselves). If thats is the plot, then you have the right episode!

Wow...the cabin looks great...nice and bright and the leather makes the BusinessElite cabin look much better. I think it is a great interim solution until Delta can introduce a lie-flat seat. And we never know, maybe the new seats will be on some new 787s!

If I read the scheduling correctly, there is a repeat at 10:00 or 11:00 am this morning EST, 7 min or 1 hr and 7 min from now. Can't wait to check it out. BRAVO is around ch. 44 in the NYC area

The FAs are indeed DL's team of "picture perfect" flight attendants. I met the ladies in the picture a few monts ago at Delta's Velvet Rope Tour in Atlanta. They were very gracious, and a ton of fun. They also are real flight attendants, and are scheduled on various flights througout the system, but not usually together. The lady on the left is especially funny, and she looks amazing in the dress. We had a blast at the chocolate fountain...lol
Most flight attendants don't wear the red dress though, maybe one out of 5 flights you'd see them wear it. It's still sexy though.

26 Leelaw: Mercifully, this was week's challenge wasn't for the "designers" to "design" new outfits for the DL flight attendants.
27 BigGSFO: Here's a link to the episode and DL's new uniforms: http://www.delta.com/marketing/fashion/index.jsp Very nice. By the way, the episode is on BravoTV
28 Alitalia744: Delta apparently will be featured in this Weds' Project Runway as well.
