I'll second that one. Mom always said, "When it rains it pours!"

I say it's a very great day for US.

Two potentially dangerous situations both ended up without injury and what looks to be minor damage to the airframes. That's pretty lucky.

It was, in fact a taxiway. Flight had returned to field due to maintenance, and lost steering on the way back to the gate.

It was lucky...a/c appeared to stop just a couple of feet from a 10-15 foot embankment.

Don't know the reg #.

Doesn't say what it was in the article. But the only MX item I can think of on that A/C that would cause an air return is a hydraulic problem. Given that I would have probably opted not to attempt a post arrival taxi.
Have to call some of my old Colgan peeps and see what they know.

I was walking to A concourse and noticed firetrucks and maintenance crews surrounded the aircraft. I didn't know what was going on. It was off a taxiway near the US Airways hangers. Glad there was no injuries.

I dunno...it would have been a worse day if people were injured or killed. Kudos to all crews involved.

Amen to that. I have a friend who is a f/a for US. I wonder if he was on that flight.
