Pensacola Airport enthusiest, the time has come for one and all, buy your tickets, get through security and break out the camera's..
Delta will operate its very first scheduled flight using the 757 into PNS.
Flight 1089 is set to arrive at 1520 with what I would imagine will be a full flight. Most likely the media will be on hand to do a story about it, as for Pensacola, it really is a newsworthy event, a sign of growth for the airport and City of Pensacola. Next week starting mid week the 757 will begin terminating at 2000. I look to eventually get a ticket on the bird, for now, I have to work it and fill her up with baggage.
One question I do have for those Delta people who have inside info as to how 776 is operating. Normally DL 776 is a MD-88 stopping in ATL and continueing onto MCI. Well, its a bit interesting on 9/1, DL 776 PNS-ATL is a 757,
DL 776 ATL-MCI is a 88, so how exactly to I seperate the hold outs? or do I?
Delta Rampers will know what I mean by the question.
At any rate, a welcome sign for Pensacola, a 757 is coming to town.
