I just returned from a short weekend trip to Havana. I flew GCM-HAV on Cayman Airways. I noticed that there were lots of TACA aircraft flying in and out of Havana, maybe 5 or 6 TACA airbuses came through during a 4 1/2 hour period. I know Cubana uses TACA airbuses to fly to YYZ. Does Cubana use them elsewhere? What services does TACA provide in Havana?

ALSO

I was wondering what airlines served other major Cuban airports (Santiago, Varadero, Isla de Pina, Cayo Coco, and so on). Where does Cuba have service to?

Great vacation by the way. I had a wonderful time.

By the number of frequencies, the largest foreign carrier to Cuba may be CM:
Thrice daily flights between PTY and HAV.

TA only has a scheduled daily SJO-HAV, all other TA planes seen at HAV airport may be leased to CU.

About international airlines flying scheduled to other Cuban airports, I think JM did serve SCU.
Still no word if CM is to serve SCU with their E190 sometime in the near future.

Canada France, and Spain must be the next largest destinations out of Cuba. You name an airline in Canada and they serve at least 3 cities in Cuba if not more.

TACA also does charters from the United States to Cuba. JFK, I believe.

What flights do Mexicana and Aero Mexico (and subsidiaries) have from Mexico?

Looks like Cubana also uses the Taca A320's to MEX and CUN.

Looks like MEX-HAV and CUN-HAV go twice daily with Click operating three out of the four daily flights.

Never heard of this before. I know Delta did this for a while, I actually flew on a Delta 737-800 from JFK to HAV and back in February of 2002.

I think TA also has (had) a SAL-HAV flight. And Bahamasair flies NAS-HAV three times weekly.

It would actually be American Eagle based on frequencies. They fly multiple daily charter flights to six Cuba airports - Havana, Cienfuegos, Camaguey, Holguin, and Santiago.

Charter, non sheduled; and those American Eagle flights are not open to whoever wants to book them.

I don't know, sorry. I was looking for alternatives to get to HAV in spring next year, and BA was no longer an option.

BA stopped serving HAV back in about 2003-4. It instead decided to cooperate with IB on its services there. Many UK charters fly there, though.

Air Caraibes only flies their A330s to Europe, no other destination as it wouldn't make sense. Air Caraibes serves HAV with the ERJ145, I can't imagine any other aircraft.
