Ok, this will sound like an odd question, but perhaps one of our Mexican friends may be able to help...
The other day I was compiling the list of a/c I have flown... which consists only of A320, A319, B733 and possibly B732 - quite a large variety, I know . Anyway, I'm still missing one, a MX flight I took from ACA to MEX in 1994. The thing is, I was 11 at the time and still far from becoming an aviation geek, so I can't recall anything about the airplane!
All I remember is the plane was somewhat old, rattled more than a ruletero (the cheapest form of transportation in my country back then), and was smaller than the plane I flew MEX-GUA (a GU 733). Please note this is not a bash on MX or their fleet, I'll gladly fly them again anytime! I also remember well the exact date of the flight (December 23, 1994).
I was wondering... finding the exact a/c type I flew would be a nearly impossible task, but maybe some of you recall what a/c was MX using for their domestic network back then so that I can have a better idea.
Thanks for your help!
Saludos,
Carmen

After the retirement of the DC-6 and 727-100 fleet, for many years, the 727-200 operated nearly all their flights (aside from the DC-10), so it is more than likely, that is what you flew. The F-100 was introduced sometime in the early 90's (possibly late 80's), but I doubt it "rattled" as you mentioned...

Maybe we're talking about a prematurely dirty F-100 that had a few screws loose perhaps?? A 727-200 may be somewhat rattley, but it would certainly be a bigger plane than a 737-300 !

Quoting Ghost77 (Reply 6): That's correct, along with DC10s. That was MX's two type in its fleet.
Ah the good old days.....

F100 probably for the size, as the ACA route was operated mainly with the Fokker, when was introduced; it arrived to MX´s fleet in 1992.

Hmm, so that was it... though a 727 would have been nice!
Take care,
Carmen
