A CO 73G is part of the static display at this year's Cleveland National Airshow and will most likely be departing Monday evening after the event closes at 4:45 and attendees clear the gates. This could be a great shot, espescially if you have access to a boat.

Speaking of the CNA, it is simply amazing seeing the Blue Angels zip between the buildings in downtown Cleveland. My office was literally shaking during practice yesterday!

Darn! I missed it again. I remember seeing it last year and making a mental note to visit the show next (this year)...and promptly forgot until 4:30 today when I couldn't leave my appartment due to the traffic on North Marginal.

Out of curiosity, which building are you in?

Almost everything in my appartment (south end of the 5th [top] floor of Quay 55, at the East 55th end of North Marginal) was shaking during their exhibitions. The first time between the shaking and the rumbling it scared the c--p out of me, but when I put 2+2 together and saw them zoom by...it was awesome. If only I owned a decent camera.

Lincoln
(My appartment itself is lousy for spotting, but the building's location isn't bad...)

I work in Playhouse Square and watched the show today near Edgewater Park. It is amazing to see how close they come as they line up for their show approach!

Ahh, now I'm envious, you get to work in one of my favorite parts of Cleveland  Smile

They certainly don't leave much room for error...gives whole new meaning to "precision flying"

One more thing...

Anyone know how the CO aircraft is scheduled? Presumably Continental doesn't just have an extra 73G sitting around that they use for air shows...Is the weekend schedule sufficiently loose that they can sneak the aircraft over to BKL with no impact elsewhere for the three days it's on the ground, or...?

Lincoln,

Being that today was a holiday, there was less of an impact to the schedule than normal. FWIW, 17 minutes enroute from BKL-CLE tonight on COA9920 (ship 720 for the spotters wondering)...
