Cathay's 747-200 & 300 Aircraft

I am wondering when Cathay retired their Classic 747 jets and what became of them.Was the Spirit Of HK 97 livery stripped off or transferred onto another 744 besides B-HOX?


BTW,I am going to SHA now.Couldn't find hotel in HKG

I thought they still have the 747-300s. That´s a shame. I enjoyed it.

The 747-300s are all leased to PIA (except one which is out of service) , and for the 200s, B-HKG, the first cX747, was scapped, others were leased to either virgin or air atlantic or iberia.

Gundu, sorry you could not find a hotel. The business in Hong Kong is going from strength to strength. CX are doing the best business they have ever done !!, who could think this so soon after the asian problems. Cathay should soon be on the tail of SQ (in size), as for service and safty we all know whats best !!!
