Does anyone from Basel know if this Handbagge regulation from Easyjet's site is still valid:
Basel-Mulhouse: No hand baggage is currently allowed onboard aircraft, and passengers are not allowed to carry liquids (this includes goods bought from shops in the departure area) if travelling to UK destinations only.
Is child and infant food allowed or not as hand baggage?
Are Handys allowed?

I don't know but it sounds strange. If hand baggage is not allowed then easyJet will check it in for you before you go through security. If security wants to take away the baby food then you should speak up there. In what world are we living in?? Mobile phone should not be a problem either.
All I can say is that security is made by the French. That said it can go from over-strict to complete lazyness.
Last time I went through with a knife:
Officer: Can you please open your bag?
RJ100: Sure
Officer: Do you have a knife in here?
RJ100: Yes
Officer Can you show it to me please?
RJ100: Yes sure
Officer: OMG, ok, have a good flight.
