I just found out that Swissair will add a third daily A320 service between Oslo and Zurich this winter. The new service will depart Oslo 13.10. Good news!
In addition Crossair operates a daily nonstop Oslo-Basle service.

The last time I flew Swissair was in 1999 from LHR to
GVA and back. Outbound was an A320, return was
on an A321. Both flights were delayed for over an
hour due to ATC and SR ground operation problems.
The flights were uneventful but the service was
not what it should have been. Swissair is not the
airline it used to be and I speak from experience,
having flown SR between JFK and GVA/ZRH three
or more times a year from 1974 through 1990.
The airline is still good but it is easily beaten by
other airlines now and in my mind, no longer
stands out as a premier airline.

Well Swissair is currently spending all its rescources on Sabena, LTU and the three french carriers! Currently they neglect their own product! I hope they become good again after all that Sabena/Air Littoral fuss is over.

While cost reduction programs at different airlines have a service decrease as result, I still prefer Swissair over many other airlines. There's only one thing, which I don't like very much: the delays at ZRH. Of course, this can't only be blamed on Swissair or on ATC problems, but I really hope, that the 5th expansion of ZRH and perhaps some improvements at Swissair bring a better situation.
To the issue: I dodn't know, that Oslo-Zurich had such a potential. There are not many destinations with three SR flights a day from ZRH, not to mention the SK flights. BTW, how many times does SK fly to Zurich.
