Hi,

I was messing around on you tube and came across this video. What an awful landing!!. Was this windshear? And is the bit where the nose gear repeatedly bounces off the runway sped up on the video or is that what really happens. I am surprised that they did not abort landing. Here is the link:

No, it was purposely landed that way by the guy handling the remote.

This video has been shown many many times and as long as there are new a.netters it will always continue to be shown. It was great at first but after about the 100th post it's getting old.

cant everyone just relax. So what if the video was posted 100 times.
People do a search and doesent always find everything.
If you have seen the video 100 times, then its your fault. If it looks farmiliar just dont watch it.
You dont have to waste your time to post that you seen it this many times.
People are dying around the world , and you are having a problem that same video is being posted again.

He is just new and posed a genuine question. No big deal.

What keywords would he use? Every time this video is posted, the title is different. If the video had a set name, then it could be searched for, but there are many threads here about bad landings.

I just found it 5 times only using 'bad landing' as the keyword. Took all of
30 seconds.... and of course those threads had links to other threads because it's been on so many times.

Is this real was a big hit for keywords too.....

True.. but when I first saw it though I thought it could have been real. My luck with the search feature was just a bit better  Smile

What is more a friend of mine who works at Airbus was shown this video by an instructor who was demonstrating bad landings. I told my friend that no, this was a remote controlled model plane and he didn't believe me at first.

After going through the video a few times with him he conceded that it probably wasn't a real A320. He's an engineer with Airbus, btw. So, we can all make mistakes.

True story.

cheers

hey A320ajm,

Don't mind some of the A-Netters here as they are very jumpy and can't wait for an opportunity to make a comment on something. To give you an example, I've seen one person correcting another poster's spelling... the hilarious thing was that his post had spelling mistakes as well!

So don't worry, it's almost the norm here. Just double check before you post otherwise it will result in blah blah blah...  Wink
