Hi,

what is the flight(number) which was ever operated by the same aircraft (not aircraft-type) for the longest time continuously?

I think it was in 2003 or 2004 that LH418 to IAD was operated by the same aircraft for 17 days without pause.

That's something I wonder about sometimes, how it is decided how long a plane operates a route, and then is rotated through the system.

I would imaging for the short routes the same plane rarely does the same flight from one day to the next, but it is much more possible for the longer routes.

Ghana International has pretty much been using the same aircraft on their LGW - ACC flights since starting up.
The reason being they only have one aircraft in the fleet.  Silly Big grin  Silly Big grin  Silly Big grin  Silly

When I was in SXM last November, out of the four days KLM flew in while I was there, PH-BFL operated there on all four days.

AF only flew either F-GLZT or F-GNIG into SXM in the 10 days I was there.

The charter airline African Safary Airways flies to MBA from LGW, VIE, BSL, FRA and MXP with their only A310. So all flights have been flown for years with the same metal. The same applies for Edelweiss Air as all long range are operated with their only A330 !

I'd beg to differ.

I have flown N930RD, N753NA and N526NA in service for Ghana International Airlines at various points during this year.

Between January and August, GIA has utilised N930RD on 78.91% of flights, N526NA on 19.45% of flights and N753NA on 2.2% of flights.
