I saw a NW 747 at AMS today. Does anyone know what flight it was and why it was there?

Uhh....wouldn't that be about as common as seeing a KLM flight there?  yes

NW hasn't been flying 747's to AMS for quite some time now. AMS became
dedicated A333 and DC10 airport.

I figured so, but didn't know. They interchange them with their DC's every now and then, if one goes down the crapper or something. That was a nice day in MEM when that happened.  Big grin

American soldiers then. KL's flights to KWI, DOH and DMM are always full of them too.

I wish that all skies were orange and blue!!

Saw it at the gate yesterday. as my great Dc 10 N237NW pushed back for Memphis. Was just about to ask the same question as above when I ran across this thread. I too was suprised to see such a nice aircraft.
