A passenger on a Northwest Airlines flight leaving Fairbanks International Airport for Minneapolis found a bomb threat written on a napkin and tucked in an airline magazine, prompting a four-hour delay as military dogs sniffed the Boeing 757 for weapons Thursday.

The note said: “There is a bomb on this plane. Boom,” said Eric Gonzalez, a spokesman for the FBI. No explosives were found on the aircraft, but the agency is investigating.

I hope it was just a hoax.

Does NW regularly fly 757's up to FAI? I'm suprised to see such a big bird up that far.

Twice daily in the summer, once daily in the spring and fall. I think the only reason they don't send an A319 up through the rest of the winter is because it would cannibalize their ANC service.
