Hi guys,
I just read on www.surf.to/orders that Alitalia has ordered 2 A319-100 and converted 8 A320 and 2 A321 options in A319 orders. The total would be 12 A319, 11 A320 and 23 A321.
Anyway that site reports the orders in July 2000 but till now I never heard nothing about it. I also tried to seek something in Alitalia and Airbus website but without results.
Is there someone who can tell me more or was that just an error?

The 319s were ordered and confirmed several weeks back as conversions from 320s. The company is also looking at more Airbuses or Boeings (B717?) to replace remaining MD-80s.
My definition of cool ? Not trying so hard to be cool.

Thanks for your infos.
Anyway I am still sceptic about it because I didn't read anything on Italian aviation magazines which always put Alitalia's order in capital size.
If you take a look at Alitalia website (www.Alitalia.it/eng) you can still read that there are 6 A320 in fleet of the 19 ordered and no mention to the A319.
Do you have some source where I can read more?
Ciao

Steman,
Airbus does list this order in their "Market Successes" subheading in the Media page. You must have Excel to read the table, however.
