Iberia A340 AOG At SJO (9/17/06)

I went to SJO for some spotting today and when I arrived at 14:10 local time, I noticed an IB A340 at the remote stand at SJO. I didn't know what to think of it, as perhaps IB6313 might have arrived early today. However, IB6313, operated by EC-IQR, arrived on time today, at around 15:20, so the aircraft at the stand was supposed to operate yesterday's flight back to MAD, IB6310.

I couldn't catch the registration of the aircraft, as it was too far away. Does anyone know why that other A340 was AOG?

Registration was EC-JCY and, yes, it is IB6310 GUA-SJO-MAD. Plane went tech at GUA and it is running 20 hours late.

Doesn't surprise me somehow. That plane went tech already a few months ago, it was already reported here.

Do you have any idea as to when it is due to arrive at MAD and when it departed? Unless it went tech at SJO as well.

Other IB A346s are a lot more unreliable than EC-JCY.

Plane departed SJO at 1547LT. Expected arrival MAD 1010LT
