Parked next to it, 757-200, looks flyable, N951PG. One-Two-Go livery according to the database. Wonder what it is doing in MIA? Anyone know who these belong to? Since both regs end in PG I guess must be the same owner, or was at one time. http://airplanepics.homestead.com/pag2.html
This is Air Union / Kras Air 757-200, of which there are at least three parked in Miami today. I don't know anything about this airline. http://airplanepics.homestead.com/page4.html
Wish I could figure out how to embed these pics in the posting.... tried, and failed, hence the fact that I am linking to them instead...

Interesting... aparently it was in Tucson in Feb this year, and clearly flew to MIA after that. Not sure how long it has been here, I just spotted it today, but with those holes in the tail it clearly could not fly at the moment. Wonder what the future plans are for it?

Ah yes, I have seen that Avialeasing plane a few times.... we also have a couple of DC-3s which are regular visitors and can often be seen parked on the north side apron, near that Avialeasing a/c.

Quoting CX flyboy (Reply 8): Whats the yellow tailed DC10 in the background?
I wish I knew.... it is next to a similar yellow colored 727 of DHL, but as far as I know, DHL do not and never did have DC-10s, so I think this is coincidence. I'll see if I can get close enough to see the reg, but unfortunately I doubt it unless they move it.

2H4,
Would you happen to know what the Avialeasing AN-26 has been doing in Florida for all these years (I have seen it there in 2000 together with UK-26002)?

I think they fly cargo to the Bahamas. Avialeasing also has an AN-12 based here, and it's an awesome sight to see her fly over my backyard on short final.
Interesting orange 737-200, not in flying state, N985PG. Don't see it in the database.

You mean besides visciously taunting those of us who have nothing but CRJs to spot?
Well, the short answer is no. I don't personally know what their business has been. A look at Flightaware indicates the AN-26 operates very regular flights between OPF and Nassau.
According to Wikipedia (a suspect source, I know), Avialeasing is a cargo airline based in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, and they operate freight services to Almaty, Bishkek and Kabul. I'm certainly no conspiracy theorist, but it makes me wonder whether the US government is involved...
After all...I can't fathom voluntarily choosing to operate....and maintain....Antonovs all the way over here, and expecting to run a remotely profitable operation.
Their website is http://www.srx.aero, and contains some nice photos, as well as some photos stolen from the A.net database.
They do indeed fly to Nassau on a virtually daily basis, but I would suspect that they are just one of the many operators bringing boring every-day cargo down to the islands from the mainland.
They come so often that I would almost not call them exciting anymore...

N985PG and N951PG are both from Pegasus and will be going through Heavy Checks soon.
The yellow tailed DC-10 is from Centurion Air Cargo (as previously stated).
Avialeasing usually brings their AN-26 and AN-12 to MIA. They fly all over the Caribbean.
