Bandung, W. Java, Oct 4 (ANTARA) - State-run aircraft maker PT Indonesian Aerospace (PT IAe) will offer the blueprint of a jet plane it has designed, the N-2130, to China, a company spokesman said here Wednesday.
The company is also studying the possibility of selling some of its shares to China to raise funds needed to obtain certification for its newest product, a turboprop aircraft dubbed the N-250, said Jusman SD, PT IEe president director.
Speaking to the press on the sidelines of a visit to the PT IAe plant here by Namibian Prime Minister Hage G Geingob, Jusman said a prototype of the N-250 was currently undergoing international certification tests.
"As for the N-2130 which we have designed, we will offer the blueprint to China. If China accepts our offer, PT IAe`s human resources will be involved in the aircraft`s production," Jusman said.
Meanwhile, PT IAe Commercial Director Heru Santoso said a PT IAe team would leave for Beijing in November 2000 to discuss cooperation with China`s aircraft industry.
Heru, however, did not explain in what way the aircraft industries of the two countries would cooperate.
PT IAe which was previously known as IPTN has so far produced a total of 112 NBO-105 helicopters, 22 Superpumas, 25 NBell-412 helicopters, 94 NC-212s and 35 CN-235s.
