Glenn (EZYAirbus) just text me, saying there was NO fire. He's got some pics which he will post later when he gets back from Luton. The aircraft has also been removed.

Quoting Gilesdavies (Reply 14): it looks like EasyJet have cancelled all their flights...
Those are flights that couldnt get out, the ones that got out before the plane over ran should get back into Luton fine, all aircraft that diverted will position back into Luton tonight so there is minimum disruption tomorrow

oh that was a fun 20 hour shift! i kid you not!
I offered to stay on as we had all our Ryanair's cancelled, around 700 passengers between 4 of us, plus with all the ezy cancellations, twas utter madness, It took around 3 hours to get all the passengers back landside to collect bags, some decided not to collect there bag and then decide they want to say its lost when its now in lost prop, then the gigantic queue of 5 hours waiting time to transfer flight which are now all fully booked for the next 3 days! either a free transfer or full refund offered to PAX, most transferred.
In the night i saw all but 1 Aviance staff.... NO agents could be found to assist there passengers, they would not pick up the phone or respond to any messages! so we had all the aviance passengers come to us but we could not do anything at all.
In all i was called a F*cking Bi*ch, useless, patronising and un helpful by passengers... Been screamed at and all sorts but there is nothing we could do, im sorry, by 0410 we got all passengers wither transferred or cancelled and the first check-in opened..mflights this morning are operating as normal, and all on time, just the normal long security queues!
Its been an exciting 20 hours but meh, all in a days work i suppose!

Quoting Kazzie (Reply 22): No-one from the airport was available to comment
No one to speak on behalf of Luton Airport, i.e press office. Aren't you a check in agent?
Quoting Kazzie (Reply 22): Well thats a load of bollox, I shall be emailing BBC now telling them to get there facts right, we was there when NO other agent bothered, twats.
Bit strong isn't it? You "were" (not "was") there because you chose to.
