What aircraft will they use...? Can the 738 fly non-stop BOM-NBO....if I remember correctly, that's a roughly 5 hours flight....

BOM-NBO is 2816 miles.

I don't know the range of the 738 though - and the flight seems to be over quite a bit of water - so ETOPs might be an issue.

BOM-NBO routing deserves nothing less than an aircraft of the size of an A 330 which 9W have already in their fleet. Its a popular route with Indians as is evident with KQ and AIs loads on the route. They could dedicate one aircraft to fly the route 3-4 times a week nonstop.

Wouldn't they already have ETOPS for the 738's to operate to SIN....?

Kenya Airways operates a B737-700 on the route if thats any help. The -700 has a better range than the -800 and with the former type in their fleet, it could well be used by them. I would however fear that on most westbounds with a full load a few passenger bags would get left behind.

There are times that KQ has operated the route using 73Ws, albeit not regularly. Same with Ethiopian.
