Short translation,

LH in cooperation with CA are to build Asia's biggest airplane hangar in PEK. The hangar will be 350m long and 40m high. The hangar will provide PEK with the needed facility to make PEK an important hub for the A380. LH plans to build a similar hangar after 2008.

It's interesting to note that no one has actually picked up on the possibility of CA actually being one of the next airlines to jump onboard the A380/F.

I doubt it that they would limit them selves to provide services for other airlines.

I've got to agree with you there I smell some sort of A380 order from Air China

LH, who in cooperation with CA will build the hangar, is currently building its own A380 maintenance facility at FRA. The FRA based A380 hangar will be 350m long, 140m wide and 45m high. It will be able to accomodate up to 4 A380s at the same time.

In one German article about LH still having confidence in Airbus, it says in the last paragraph: "In Beijing it was said that this is an indication that Air China will order the A380 in a foreseeable future."

Doesn't give any details.

I think the chances of Air China getting the A380 are high. With all the growth they're having in China there will be no way around the big boy.
