Does anyone on the inside know when these routes will be announced? I understand they'll start out with around 14 flights. And what is the actual day in January, they are slated to begin service? Here is my guess: BNA, BWI, ISP, LAS, MDW, PVD and TPA initially, possibly HOU thrown in there, too, which would continue on to LAX. TW is pulling out of PBI, so STL could be a possibility, as well.

I'm sure the PBI routes will look similar to the FLL routes. You'll probably see BNA, TPA, ISP, STL, and BWI. I don't forsee HOU however.

My guess is that the announcement of the routes will be "real soon now" since PBI's on the route map now and they seem to like to announce routes 3-4 months in advance (and January's in that time frame now). If you do a little bit of detective work on their site, you come to the conclusion that the PBI routes will be added on 1/20 or 1/21 (they seem to like to start routes on Sundays) since their schedule goes through 1/19/2001 right now.

And John's exactly right about looking at FLL to get an idea of where they'll fly from PBI. MCO, TPA, JAX, and BWI almost certainly. BNA is also likely. I'd bet against STL initially even with TWA stopping service from there, but you never know, and I think MDW is too constrained right now to add flights. I think ISP and MSY are longshots, and that PVD, MHT, RDU, and HOU aren't likely right now since they currently don't fly there nonstop from FLL.

ScottB pretty much hit the hammer right on the head or something like that. Southwest will start small flying short hops. Actually their main intention is to feed their Orlando hub. St Louis is a strong possibility because TWA is dropping it in a month and the Cardinals have spring training here in West Palm. Can't wait to see those colors fly in!

Sometimes I go about in pity for myself and all the while a great wind carries me across the sky.

Might as well throw in my 2 cents. Likely: MCO, TPA, JAX, BWI. Possible: BNA, STL, RDU, PVD, MHT, ISL. Unlikely to start but certainly possible down the road: MDW, LAS, MSY, PHX, HOU. Anything is possible and nothing would be surprising.

My definition of cool ? Not trying so hard to be cool.
