Hello all,
I booked LH 3860 from MUC to FCO and the ticket (or the confirmation) reads "Operated by Air Dolomiti".
I know Air Dolomiti is one of LH's partner airlines, but as far as I know they do not serve FCO - or Rome in general. Is this a new service which is not mentioned on Air Dolomiti's website and which is to be seen against the background of Alitalia's latest financial difficulties?
According to Amadeus, LH/EN3860 is served by one of EN's new BAe146. Michael Kraus, President of Air Dolomiti, said in an interview with Aero International (09/2006, p. 52) that EN is able "...to operate other routes, such as from Bari, Naples or Rome to Munich" by using their new BAes (in german: "Wir können jetzt ganz andere Strecken bedienen, so wie die von [...] Rom nach München."
So I think that's a brandnew additional service MUC-FCO.
