Not something you hear every night on liveatc.net:

Citation 560 N561JS arrived at SFO at 7:27pm tonight (24 Sep.). While the Citation was on final to one of the 28's the pilot came on and said he went through severe wake turbulence from the heavy that landed ahead.

"That was the real deal..... that was a 90-degree bank" is one of his transmissions.

The exchanges between the pilot and the controller were tense. Seemed as though the pilot was accusing the controller of not warning them, but perhaps I misinterpreted it. I wasn't listening closely enough in the moments leading up to remember if the controller gave a wake-turbulence warning.

Looking at flightaware.com, SIA002 (744) was the heavy that landed ahead.

Might be worth listening to if you can retrieve it from the liveatc.net archives (I've never tried).

Anyway, everyone came away all right and that's the most important thing. Sorry I can't give any more information, I have to log off in a moment.

We hit wake turbulence on a DL752 flight coming back to PHX from JFK over the piano keys from a NW753 a year or two back. Almost had a wing strike...twice. Pilots were quick, went around, and greased the second one.

561JS and SFO Tower have a brief conversation about it that's on the tower feed, but I think he actually hit it before he switched over to tower, and that's not on LiveATC. The conversation with the tower is at about 0228Z.

Edit: The Citation's conversation with Approach is not with the NOCAL approach channel which LiveATC has.
