Today (September 25th) there is a JL charter flight coming in from Fukuoka. JL 8016/8015 operated by reg: JA8085. I guess this plane flew in a few times to YVR as the scheduled JL11/12/15/16/17/18 but its nice to see it coming here again as a charter.
The thing that I don't understand is that why is it a triangular route? It flies from FUK-YVR (something at least I haven't seen before) and according to their homepage, its scheduled to leave for Narita after about a 4 hour ground time.
Is this a charter flight with people heading onto Banff? I heard that JL and NH flew a few charter flights into YYC, but I haven't seen a JL charter flight into YVR since they flew into Cuba with the MD-11.
A few JL flights now leaving at night-time and getting to Narita in the evening. Just three days ago, there was a JL flight (JA8921) that operated as JL 18 and I think suffered from an engine failure and experienced a 6 hour delay. Just on a side note, I was watching that bird engine-start and when it started, it sounded like my hair dryer blowing. Is this a normal procedure?
