As I wouldn't suggest TWA's new uniform to be #1 in the world, they're certainly in the top 2 together w/ Continentals in the States. They're new uniform with all those shiny gold buttons and the Gold embroidered TWA on the sleve together with the prettiest wings in the ENTIRE airline industry, make the new uniform an instant classic.

I would count SQ, MH and EI among the best- seems like most US carriers give them the standard navy blue- They just look plain scruffy(almost dirty many times) compared to many of the INtl carriers.

I kind of like BA's uniforms. The female wear hats with a purple blazer and colorful dress. Asiana Airlines also has a nice uniform. Air Canada has that awful mint green uniform. Delta's widebody crews look like a third world army because of all of the different uniform pieces that they have. Best Dressed pilots - Delta, NWA, TWA. Worst Dressed pilots SW.

Virgin's uniforms for female FAs from the airline's inception until 1998 were great.
Beautifully tailored, great shoes, accessories and, according to my wife who was forever trying to find out where to get some, the best tights she had seen.
With the airline's expansin, the cost has had to be pared and the speed of providing the uniform increased so the quality has suffered.
Amonst the worst is the British Midland dress and silly hat.

For present day, I think the best uniforms for Flight attendants are American or TWA. I sort of wish TWA would go with a more classic look though. Maybe bring back the big old scarf and a hat. As for pilots, I like USAirways' or American's uniforms. The worst uniform for Flight Attendants of all time I believe was the Eastern uniform of the 70's with the red and blue blazers and Eastern logo throughout the blouse. Later on Eastern went with a brown look, which was OK, followed by this really strange outfit in 1990. It consisted of navy blue blazer and skirt (or pants) trimmed in gold. It had this colorful pink, blue and gold silk scarf and a pill box hat. In 1990, this looked like something out of an old 60's or even 40's flick, but looking back at pictures I have now, it looked neat. That is the look TWA should go for.

I like the SWA uniforms, being a flight attendant for another airline i wish i can wear something casual while working, I hate wearing those uniforms. Jet blue is another airline with casual uniforms that i also like, i dont like the dress uniforms maybe for first and business class but in coach i like the causual look why not all the pax are dressed that way

I like most airlines that managed to blend together culture and fashion. With traditional costumes, but still enabling the FAs to move and work freely.
SQ , EK , TG , GA and CI are some of the good ones...

Hawaiian Airlines f/a's have these great looking purple uniforms, I never really notice uniforms but I noticed it because it was a change from the white and navy blue of US carriers.

I like Alaska's uniform of the white or light blue button down polo with black pants. It's casual, but still creates a sense of position. The flight attendants still had to wear ties. (Different style for male or female obviously) but they are still better than the ones for AA.
Am I the only person who is slightly intimidated by their navy blue, business suit style attire?

The best uniforms i've ever seen would have to be that of KLM. They look comfortable, traditional and stylish, not to mention superior to that of Sabena or British Airways where the crew look like silly sausages.

These 3 pictures represent 3 of our uniforms.
The center one is our "ground" uniform. We wear it all the time but when we are doing the service on the plane. It is the one you will see us wearing most of the time. It is very elegant and timeless.
The left one is the service jacket. Male flight attendants working in l'Espace Première and l'Espace Affaires wear this jacket at all time during the service, inflight.
The cream spencer is worn by our Concorde crews during their flights on the supersonic.

I can't stand navy uniforms with white shirts. They are too boring. The airline must place emphasis on colour, fashion, traditional costume and it must look professional at the same time!
Virgin is very good in this regard with their bright red uniform, it matches the plane they are in, it is fashionable, professional, and well, you can't really say it's traditional, but then again, I don't think England has traditional dress! (Or am I wrong?)
The now defunct Sun Air, the domestic airline here in South Africa, had a great uniform. They only hired female f/a's (I think, at least I only saw females) and they wore magenta and navy uniforms, which were VERY stricking!
Of course, if I were SAA's fashion designer, their uniform would be TOTALLY revamped. It looks very dull in my opinion! I've also heard that Ethiopian has good uniforms.
