On 4/1/01 AA will begin daily non strop service from SJC to TPE and CDG using 777 and 767 aircraft respectively. AA also stated the in the future they would like to serve LHR,FRA,KIX from SJC, but those cities are still a bit off in the future

I really hope AA makes SJC a true hub. There is a lot of potential out of that market especially with computers. SJC is closer to Silicon Valley than SFO is. The only bad thing about SJC is that it only has one runway and no room to expand.

With these flights, SJC will be an AA hub in almost every aspect but name. SJC is nearing completion of a second runway, and the terminals are to be renovated and new ones built, along with a newer and larger INS facility. The one problem with the new INS building is that it may not be finished by the time the new flights are scheduled to start, and that would present a problem for passengers. See my post: "SJC and the two AA Asia flights" for more details.
