Just noticed this on flybmi.com
Due to technical problems, today’s flight (28 September) between London Heathrow and Mumbai, BD781 and tomorrow’s flight (29 September) returning from Mumbai, BD782 have regrettably been cancelled. Customers are being advised in advance where possible and rerouted onto other carriers.
Tomorrow's flight (29 September) BD721 from Manchester to Antigua and BD722 from Antigua to Manchester are also cancelled
They are offering passengers alternative travel though and even putting on a flight to LGW for their passengers. Can anyone shed more light on the problems. Seems that there are 2 aircraft out of service?
29 September, Manchester to Antigua BD721: reaccommodated as follows: check-in at 0500 for BD581 Manchester to Heathrow for dep 0640 arr 0750, BW901 Heathrow to Antigua dep 1125 arr 1440
29 September, Antigua to Manchester BD722 – reaccommodated as follows: check-in one our earlier than previously advised. VS034 Antigua to Gatwick, dep 1640 arr 0540 (30 Sep); BD7822 Gatwick to Manchester, dep 0930 arr 1030.
Maybe BD should look at adding another long haul aircraft to their fleet that flies less and can therefore be used as a spare aircraft.
