How To Go To LHR Cheap On Dec 25th?

Hi,
I kindna need help here.. I have to fly back to new york on x mas day.. and my brother in London told me all the tube and bus will stop running that day? (unlike new york) Any of you know how to go to LHR other than taking taxi?

As far as i no there is very limted bus services in the capital on xmas day.Not sure about the tube.

Public transport almost always stops running on Christmas Day. Taxis are normally very expensive too. It may be different in London but as far as I know everything stops!

I'd say your best bet would be to go the day before or after!

At least in Finland, where Santa lives  Wink, everything stops on Xmas Day. No domestic flights even!

No, beacause it's one of the few days left in thecalendar where people can spend it with their families. I feel sorry for the staff working on the Heathrow Express, unless they are volunteering for religious reasons.
