I'm not into football but I love the charter traffic every week.
Georgia Tech going to ROA to meet Virginia Tech on DL 757:

I'm assuming this is the University of Georgia's charter for their game against Ole Miss:

This is carried over from the week 4 thread but it really applies to this week:
Quoting QXFLYINGCOUG (Reply 40): USC is flying on a Delta 757 into LWS from LAX this afternoon. Also I just saw the F9 A319 coming into PUW to pick up the University of Idaho football team so that can fly to Utah State.
I can't tell what Stanford is taking to ASU - nothing special was showing up on Flightaware from any bay-area airport to any Phoenix airport and the game is at noon or one tomorrow, so I figured it would be there by now. Maybe they'll have an evening flight.

This isn't college ball but the Packers use NW DC-10's regularly for their charters.

Does B6 fly PHL-BNA nonstop? I assume B6 4463 is Temple coming to Nashville to play the 'Dores.

That's because ASU is playing Oregon this weekend. Not sure what Oregon took to PHX though.

Does Stanford deserve a plane the way they are playing?

I noticed that Cal took a NW chartered 757 from OAK to EUG. The plane was ferried in from MSP. Seems like a waste to fly an empty plane approximately 1590 miles to fly a 450 mile charter.

Also looks like Wyoming flew F9 from LAR-SYR. Looks like a step up in level for Wyoming for this weeks game.
Here another killer, Northern Arizona bused from Flagstaff to SkyHarbor to fly Delta #9791 (738) to SLC where they boarded buses again to travel to Bozeman, MT.
Not College Football, but the Phoenix Suns departed today on Pace 5301 currently enroute to Goose Bay for the fuel stop on the trip to Italy.

Why end the flight at SLC? BZN's runway is plenty long enough at 9000 ft.

Believe it or not, AS 9450 is actually a 737-200.

To add to the above post, only slightly off-topic, when Florida won the National Championship earlier this year, they chartered a DL 757 to get there and back. After arriving back at GNV, the 757 RON in GNV. Imagine the surprise the AM flight passengers received when they saw that their CR7 had been subbed for a 757! Just like Christmas morning...

Probably but they were cutting it close with the noonish arrival for the 3:30 game.

Nah, they probably just bitched that they had more stairs to walk up that day.
