Attn. all you Aussies: (Or those familiar with SYD.)
I am FINALLY going to Aussie this December. (Well, it's not definate yet, but I'm very hopeful.) Does anyone know what is the most common approach to SYD, and if there are views of downtown and the harbour, what side of the aircraft are they best viewed from. Not that it really makes any difference, but I'm arriving from LAX on NZ.

Excellent views of the city and harbour from the left hand side when approaching from the north. However the view is from the right hand side on the downwind leg if the approach is over Botany Bay

If you arrive on 16R (The winds must be southerly) then from the left hand side of the aircraft you get a view of Sydney Harbour and the bridge, etc.
