Getting Seats On US Shuttle

Hey, I'm flying US shuttle next week for the first time, how does seat selection work on it?

Actually, when you check in online for the US Shuttle it randomly assigns a seat to you. Usually I will check in online and then when I get to the airport, I use a kiosk to try to switch seats.

Seats on US Airways Shuttle flights are never reserved in advance and is only available for check in and seat selection within the 24 hour departure window. Hope this clears up any confusion.

Delta Shuttle has open seating, which IMO is a lot better than the US Shuttle's assigned seating.

Just a word of caution that United.bomb will occasionally assign you a seat on the US shuttle; but it is an illusion; as was mentioned earlier, checkin-in online (only can be done with US) assigns you a random seat, and to change you have to do it at the kiosk. If you get to the airport early you can also usually get on the earlier flight if you don't have any bags to check...usually free of charge.
