FlyBE are offering flights for Saints Fans to Humberside and Newcastle airports on the weekends when Southampton FC play Hull and Sunderland respectively.

Quote:

The airline will also be flying the first team to and from both games. For the Sunderland game the team will depart Southampton International Airport at 13.00 on the 10th November and will make their return on the 11th, departing at 20.30. For the Hull City match, the team will leave Southampton at 13.20 on the 1st December, and will depart Humberside Airport at 20.30 on the 2nd.

Flybe’s Director of Marketing, Simon Lilley said: “We understand that for Southampton fans to travel to an away match in the North East of England is a real investment of time so we are thrilled to be offering fans an efficient and cost effective option.”

Yes, FlyBe flew the Exeter team up to Manchester I seem to remember, when they played Manchester United a while back. Also Air Southwest has flown Plymouth Argyle to a few of their more distant games, and likewise other teams have flown down to Plymouth, that was on Emerald Airways who now seem to be defunct.

Quoting Ba757gla (Reply 2):

Probably not. HUY has an absolute tiny catchment area

I do think HUY-SOU may be able to work on Eastern as long as there is no DSA-SOU flight. But I think Flybe will anounce DSA-SOU within a year

Still good to see Flybe at HUY, even if it is just two flights
