It is rumoured that EK may be starting an early morning arrival in to MAN from DXB, which might continue on to a city in the USA (LAX/IAH/ORD/LAS).

Anyuone know if there is any truth in it?

FYI, I recently came across this study by CAA:

Maybe it has something to do with this:

RUMOR: EK To Start ORD-DXB Via AMS Or DUS (by LHUSA Sep 20 2006 in Civil Aviation)

Maybe it won't be DUS or AMS after all...

Smile - it confuses people!

The early morning arrival is sure to happen at some point in time. As EK is further building its DXB hub, European destinations which single service will go double daily and those with double daily service will go triple daily. A thirds service is almost certain to be located in EK's 2am DXB departure hub and would call for a morning arrival at MAN. I haven't heard anything regarding a possible transatlantic extension, though, and I would presume that, for the sake of aircraft utlization, it would be wiser to extend the early afternoon flight with a possible transatlantic tag, a move EK is about to make with its HAM flight.
