Current DC10/MD10/MD11 Operators?

Good Afternoon Everyone,

I am in need of a source where I can find a complete list of current DC10 and MD11 operators. (MD10 as well, if any outside of FedEx)

I've searched the internet, and have found many lists of operators, but all include airlines that used to operate aircraft, and many don't include those who have recently leased aircraft to operate. I grew frustrated with the search function here after not finding anything for thirty minutes. Most likely I don't know how to search correctly.

If you can help, I would greatly appreciate a total and complete list, no partial lists. Or, if you could, a link to a free site with the info I need.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Kind Regards,

Well, one of the remaining pax MD11 operators are of course KLM and Finnair. FedEx and IIRC UPS have both, but cargo versions. I believe I saw in another thread that NWA is no longer a DC10 operator, but ATA will become a new DC10 operator (wow, still a new customer after all those years!!) by taking some of NWA's DC10's.

There are a lot of former DC10 operators on that website, but if i understood correctly, he is looking for CURRENT DC10/MD11 operators.

NWA flies the last ones in the week after New Year's. The final flight will be HNL - MSP. I think that JAL still flies a few.

Here are somewhat accurate lists of current status for each frame built.
http://www.airfleets.net/listing/dc10-1.htm
http://www.airfleets.net/listing/md11-1.htm

The DC-10 listing includes MD-10s, however, it doesn't discriminate between the two.

For totally accurate listings, there are companies that make a living providing this kind of information.

Alitalia Cargo / China Cargo Airlines / EVA Air Cargo / FedEx / Finnair / Gemini Air Cargo / KLM / Lufthansa Cargo / Martinair / Saudi Arabian Cargo / Saudi Arabian Government / Shanghai Airlines Cargo / TransMile Cargo / UPS / Varig / Varig Log / World Airways

All are painted in cargo collours, and from what i heard, they wont be converted to Pax anymore.

That's what I also heard. I wonder if they'll choose to convert those CFs into full freighters, if they do no longer fly PAX for good and don't even keep the option to convert one to PAX in an extreme fleet emergency.

As I can remember, the only users of D10's in passenger version are Biman Bangladesh (I don't know if this airline is out of business) and Northwest Airlines.

M11 are a lot as Finnair, Martinair Holland, Alitalia (freighter), KLM, Varig, World Airways, Air Namibia,...

Actually, WO still fly one pax DC-10-30, and Omni still have eight going around, essentially for the CRAF I believe.

Air Namibia stopped flying MD-11 at the end of August.

ATA operated DC-10s (series -10 and -40) in the early 80s, so it's not an all-new customer.

Although accurate, this list is not completely up-to-date

Fedex has several Md11 in conversion, so their fleet is expanding. To keep track of those see http://www.airwaysnews.com/att.html?type=view&article_id=76&junk=.pdf
for UPS a similar story applies. this includes the last Md11 of Air Namibia which is currently at ZRH and all four ex TG aircraft
World AW leases out several of their MD11, to Sonair, AC and ET
RG has only three in operation; the others are stored; Aeroflot will operate 4 ex RG MD11 in the future (after conversion to MD11F)

Varig Log also operates DC10; KLM and AY do not operate DC10 anymore, nor does Martinair. They are long gone. Don't think LH or AZ still operate them, either
