NEW YORK, Oct 6 (Reuters) - Continental Airlines (CAL.N: Quote, Profile, Research) on Friday said it is contributing $70 million to its pension plans, bringing its contributions this year to $246 million.
The contribution exceeds the minimum funding requirement for the plans, Continental said.
Since the beginning of 2002, Continental has contributed more than $1.1 billion to its pension plans, the No. 4 U.S. carrier said.
